Davis Wayne Drake, 74, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home in Springfield, MO. He was born on Tuesday, December 3, 1946 in Gainesville, TX to Dorothy Jean Hodges and Davis Whiddon Drake

Davis graduated from Midwest City High School in 1965. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy, followed by a career as a talented trim carpenter. Davis loved spending time at the lake, golfing, baking & cooking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles (IN PEN).

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Darla Jirasek.

Davis is loved and will be missed by his wife of 24 years, Judith Steffen Drake; his children's mother Carolyn Drake, daughter Brett Currie, her husband Scott, and grandsons Sawyer and Brock; son Adam Drake, his wife Crystal, and granddaughter Gabby; stepson John Gonzales IV, his wife Alesha, and grandson John; stepfather Joe Jirasek and his wife Nita; sister Joni Jirasek and her wife Tracey.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Henderson Hills Baptist Church, 1200 E. I-35 Frontage Rd., Edmond, OK 73034. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
