Darrell "Butch" Smith 71, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born on July 17, 1951 in Lamar, Colorado to Leon and Opal Smith.

Butch married Jackie Kneedler on December 19, 1969 and to this union one son, Shane Smith was born.

Butch loved playing golf, hunting, fishing and he adored his two dogs, Sadie and Bentley. He worked for Acro for 33 years and later started his own business Independent Truck Tanks which he sold in 2015 before his retirement.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Shane Smith and one brother and sister.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Smith; a host of several nieces and nephews and a very special neighbor, Frank.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
