Danny Ray Geiger, 66 of Springfield passed away at home after a long illness. He was born June 14, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM to Arthur and Jewell (Stevens) Geiger, who preceded him in death. Danny was a veteran of the Marine Corp. During his lifetime he worked in numerous jobs but finalized his working life as an over-the-road truck driver.

Danny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margaret; stepson and wife, Mark and Michelle, a grandson Perrin, his dog Shorty and cats Graci and Socks. Also his loss will be felt by Margaret's siblings, nieces and nephews and dear, dear friends Vicki and Virgilene.

The family wants to express their deepest appreciation to Integrity Hospice, especially Anna and Flori, Chaplain Michael and Laney and all the other staff who assisted in Danny's care. Thanks to their care and support, Danny was able to stay at home. They are truly angels.

No services are planned at this time. Danny will be inurned at a later date in Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Kansas.
