Obituary

Clifford Eugene Harralson, age 89 of Springfield, died May 19th. He was born to John Wisser and Elizabeth Ross Harralson on February 15, 1923 in Aldrich MO.
Cliff married Helen Grace York in 1941 and they had one son, John.
After WWII, Cliff enjoyed a successful career as a school administrator. He began teaching at Marshfield HS, and continued at Bolivar HS, Desoto HS, and Northbrook, Illinois HS. He was Director of the Student Union at SMS before going to Northwest University in Chicago as Director of the Commuter Center. Additionally, his hobbies were a large part of his life. He was an avid antique collector and had a large Heisey glass collection. He was president of the Bonnebrook Historical Society and was instrumental in the reconstruction of Bonnebrook, the home of Rose O''Neill near Branson. He was also a Civil War buff and he and Helen visited most of the battlefields. They also enjoyed square-dancing in their younger years.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and his five brothers.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen, son John and wife Ellen, two granddaughters, Brenda Marshall and Vicki Crump, and three great-grandchildren Taylor, Jackson and Brett.
Visitation will be at 1pm, Wednesday, May 23rd in Klingner-Cope at Rivermonte. The service will follow at 2pm with burial immediately following.
