Clell A. Byler 95, of Hurley, MO went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 11, 1921 in Clantonville, Arkansas to Harper Lee and Maude Ellen (Widders) Byler.
Clell served in the military during WWII and was a member of a special team that restored communications over Europe. Clell retired as a master electrician from Reyco Manufacturing Company. He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, elder, and was instrumental in the foundation of three churches. He devoted his life to serving the Lord. Music was a big part of Clell''s life which included playing the mandolin, harmonica, and singing. He also enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, and playing cards.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther Lillian Byler; 7 siblings; 1 daughter in-law, Lorene Byler.
Survivors include 4 children, Darrell Byler, Judy Ellison (Gary), Diana Tarter, and Carol Duckworth (Andy); 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, Isaloy Potter; and a dear friend Ms. Merle Mallonee; and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 12pm-1pm at Christian Ministries Church, 802 Riley Drive Hurley, MO 65610. Funeral services will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
