Charles (Chuck) Mingus, Jr., 61, of Strafford, MO, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 22, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1957, in Springfield, MO, to Charles and Helen (Hoskins) Mingus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Judith Coble; and two infant brothers.

Chuck is survived by Dianne (Collison), his wife of 44 years; son Charlie, daughter Anjuni, horse Misty and 3 dogs (Myra, Josie and Bonnie).

Chuck enlisted in the Army on his 18 ^th birthday and proudly served 4 years, before coming home to care for his parents. Along with his family, this crafty cowboy loved reading, playing music, riding his horse and motorcycle, as well as habitually horsing around. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Strafford First Assembly of God on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10am. In his memory, Chuck's loved ones would like to continue his legacy of extending his love beyond the perimeter of their family and request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Cherish Kids at cherishkids.org.
