Charles R Ayres"Abe",74, of Willard/ Walnut Grove MO, passed away Wednesday, March 1st 2023. He was born September 26th 1948 in Phoenix, AZ to Ed and Mary Ayres. Abe was a lumber foreman at Vermillions for almost forty years when he finally decided to retire in 2018. He loved fishing, hunting, cutting wood and working out in his garden, he could always grow the best tomatoes and then take them and make his own juice, like perfection. But most of all, he loved getting his Superbee out on a sunny day and driving it a little while before putting it back in the garage.

Abe was preceded in death by his parents and a few other family members.

Abe is survived by Kathy Gold of eighteen years, son Troy Ayres, daughter Tammy Escobedo and her husband Chad. Five grandkids and three great grandkids. All of which he thought the world of.

Two brothers, Kenny Ayres and his wife Janet, Perry Ayres and sister Retha Bateman and her husband Jr.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7th 2023 from 5-7pm

Services will be held Wednesday, March 8th 2023 from 11:30-12:30am @ Klinger-Cope Funeral Home @ White Chapel 5234 W. St. Hwy EE Springfield, MO 65802

Then to the Veterans Cemetery for the burial ceremony @ 1pm, no grave side services.
