Cecilia Wilma Montgomery McDaris, 81, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2016. She was born in Springfield on Saturday, September 29, 1924 to Cecil and Helen Montgomery.
Cecilia was a member of the Eagles 3934 since 1976, served in numerous offices, and loved the Eagles. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 69 since the early 90s , where she served as president.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald McDaris, her parents, grandson Richard J. Gilleland, 2 brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her children; Debbie and Phillip Justice, Jim and Jane Rips, Jennifer and Kent Brown, Doug and Christy McDaris, Christine and Joe Burnett; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10am at Rivermonte Chapel. Internment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
