Carolyn Chainey, 71, of Springfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 8, 2016. She was born August 28, 1945, the daughter of Charles and Edna Franklin.
Carolyn and Philip Chainey, Sr., were happily married for 56 years. Carolyn is loved by everyone she touched, and treasured by her family. She is gone, but not forgotten as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and our angel. We love you always.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Alice Smithey, Charles , Jr., Rufus, James,
Sam and Mike Franklin.
In addition to her husband Philip, Carolyn is survived by her children Fontilla Meighen, Philip Jr., Susan, and Justin Chainey; grandchildren Mechelle Dougherty, Benjamin Newberry, Talicia, Ashleah, Tyler, Austin, and Jordan Chainey, Darreon and Deontei Johnson and Rylee Chainey; great grandchildren Quentin Tennis, Felicity and Adam Newberry, Landon Henderson and Adyline Johnson and siblings, Juanita Pruett, Eugene Franklin, LouAnn Glancy and Roger Franklin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO . Burial will follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Carolyn''s family will receive friends from 1:00-200 PM prior to funeral services at the funeral home
