Carolyn Mae James, 79, of Springfield, MO, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born July 1, 1935 in Pueblo, CO, the daughter of Henry and Clara (Riley) Foresman. Carolyn and John "Jack" James were married on June 8, 1953.

Carolyn was a member of True Kindred, Social Order of Beauceant and the Order Eastern Star. She retired from Litton as a design engineer. Carolyn enjoyed riding motorcycles, butterflies and spending time on the lake with her family. She loved her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her poodles.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; her son-in-law, Mitch Taylor; her niece, Kathy Moffelt and her sister Marion Gross.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Joyce V. Taylor, Richard and Brenda James, Joseph and Cheryl James and John James; grandchildren, Chris Tyler, Jeff and Kelly Lee, Natalie Mathis, Jeremiah James, Jana and Willie Lyons, Zach Wilson; great grandchildren, Taylor, Jace, Elgin and Harper; sisters, Alice and Susan and Jerry Flanagan and a niece, Terri and Van Bennett.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 8, 2014 at Klingner-Cope Midtown Family Funeral Home with Chaplin Ann Payette officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.

Carolyn''s family will receive friends from 4:00- 6:00 P.M. Sunday December 7th at the funeral home.
