Carl Herman Tiedt

Carl Herman Tiedt, 79, passed away August 19, 2021 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. He was born July 29, 1942 to Mathilda (Koeltzow) and Carl Fredrick Tiedt, Sr., in Las Animas, CO. He moved to Lamar, MO at a young age and resided there before serving four years in the U.S. Navy. He then moved to Springfield, Missouri. In 1966, he married the great love of his life, Barbara (Holden) Tiedt.

Carl resided in Springfield, Missouri. Nothing was more important to him than time spent with his family and his love for the Lord. His two granddaughters were the light of his life.

Carl is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Kimberly (Tiedt) Adams; granddaughters, Ashley and Amber Adams; three brothers; five sisters; nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends. He is also survived by his adopted Brazilian family; Iromar and Gaby Schrieber, Tales, Johannes, and Sophia Schrieber.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two of his sisters.

A private ceremony will be held at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte.
