IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carl William
Rosenberg
August 20, 1931 – January 29, 2026
Mr. Carl William Rosenberg, age 94, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
Carl Rosenberg was born in Springfield Missouri on August 20th, 1931 to Midge (O'Leary)Rosenberg and Bryan Rosenberg.. He worked faithfully for thirty years at Missouri State University to care for his family and make sure their needs were met. He was well loved by everyone who knew him, especially the children that he helped cross the street as a crossing guard at Rountree Elementary School. Sometimes the kids he served would see him at various places and greet him warmly even after they had moved on to junior high and high school.
Some of his favorite things in life were very long walks to the Battlefield Mall and back home, chip and dip parties with Pepsi Cola to drink, playing frisbee with his kids, chocolate milk, and big band music, particularly that of Glenn MIller. It truly was the little things that made him a happy man and he was all too willing to spread the joy. He would often say that you should laugh at least once a day, usually while laughing at a joke he told.
Carl is survived by his daughters, Leah Morris and Rebekah Armstrong, his grandchildren, Tiffany Armstrong, Tristan Armstrong, and Tamra Godwin, his Great-granddaughters, Kivah and Sophia Godwin.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol (Scrivener) Rosenberg, his parents Midge and Bryan Rosenberg, and his brother Robert Stanley Rosenberg.
