Bonnie M. Bernier, 85, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born October 6, 1929, a daughter to Robert and Edna Marie (McFall) Burns.

Bonnie worked for many years at Gee''s East Wind in Springfield. She was a longtime member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg, MO. Bonnie enjoyed BINGO, crocheting, cooking, gardening, traveling and quilting. In her later years she enjoyed putting puzzles together.

Bonnie''s children and grandchildren were the light of her eye.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Patricia Doing and 2 sisters, Cleo Bennett and Betty Bishop.

Bonnie is survived by 3 daughters, Sandy Turner and her husband, Patrick of Hawk Point, MO; Paulette Beckley of Overland Park, KS and Rebecca Hicks and her husband, Danny of Phillipsburg, MO; 9 grandchildren, Travis Doing; Chad Alford; Brandon Mires; Devin Beckley; Sydney Beckley; Heather Ireton; Matthew Doing; Lesley Johnson and Erin Burnett, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and one on the way, Blakee, and her brother, Billy Bob Burns and his wife, Betty.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home Chapel at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Pallbearers will be Travis Doing, Chad Alford, Brandon Mires and Patrick Turner. Committal services will follow in the mausoleum.

Bonnie''s family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time in the chapel.
