Obituary

This is the story of Seth Andrew Peacock, a man whose absence will leave an empty space in the hearts of many friends and family members.

Seth's story began on January 30, 1999 when he entered the world as the 5 th child of Darren and Dawn Peacock. From the start, Seth was a loving child who could make everyone smile, and as he got older, laugh out loud! His story had many different chapters. As a youngster, he was fascinated with the Crocodile Hunter, and for a season he talked Aussie all the time. Once, he discovered that the circle of denim cut off the legs of a pair of blue jeans exactly fit around his head.  He wore ends of jeans around his head for months, until his head grew too big to fit them anymore!  (Then he switched to actual bandanas, tied ninja style.)

Seth was a bit of a McGuyver. He could make anything out of anything.  A homemade bow, a forge, hanging shelves, all out of things he found laying around.  He was very interested in survival skills and for a couple years he carried a 30 pound bug out bag everywhere he went. If you needed anything, "just ask Seth." Duct tape? He had it. Tape measure? He had it. Lightning cord for an iPhone? Yep, and he didn't even use an iPhone!

Hunting was a big part of Seth's life. His wit and humor made deer seasons fun for the whole family, and his willingness to help blessed the whole family.  Everyone knew they could count on Seth to help drag deer, clean deer, look for deer, or just do dishes.  He learned to make deer jerky, and did it well.  Still with survival skills in mind, he even tried cooking some more unusual meats, and once had the whole family sample armadillo!

When Seth was 7, he accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized. As he grew and matured in his knowledge and understanding of things of God, he chose to rededicate his life and be baptized again. When he was 18, he left his family a note saying the Lord had led him to leave and take a walk of faith.  He didn't know when or if he would be back, he was just following God. He left home on foot with just a few dollars and a Bible.  3 days, 350 miles, and several new gray hairs on his parents heads later, he called and said he had learned what God was wanting him to learn, and he was ready to come home.  After that, his desire to live for and be a light for God was even greater. He went out of his way to help anyone and everyone, and was known to take hitchhikers hours off of his path.

Seth moved to Springfield after high school, and continued walking to the beat of his own drum. When he was 21, he had his name legally changed to Bishop Arthur Kane.  He was a licensed minister, and officiated 2 weddings.  But as a young man on his own for the first time, he also faced a new world of temptations and challenges. Life became complicated for a time, lessons were learned and Bishop came out on top.

Bishop took pride in always going above and beyond at every job set before him.  He was a welder, a cook, a reader, a writer, a tatoo artist, a comedian, prankster, a hunter, orator, survivalist, screenwriter, and general jack-of-all-trades.

On November 7, 2022, the final chapter of Bishop's story on earth ended.  A story so full of good things should have gone on so much longer. We don't want to close the book, we want to keep reading. Goodbye for now, Bonzu Pippenpaddleopsicopulis the Third!
