Billie Jo Parsons, 85, of Springfield, Missouri left for her heavenly home on Friday, September 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on Friday, September 1, 1939, to Dalton and Ruth Henderson in Clinton, Tennessee. Her parents and one sister, Brenda Morris predeceases her.

Billie Jo was united in marriage to her one true love, Clarence Parsons, who predeceases her, with whom she spent many happy years. She is survived by her brother, Charles Henderson and his wife, Roberta, and a sister, Shirley Levett. Survivors also include a son, Darold Henderson and his wife, Heather. Billie Jo also leaves behind three granddaughters, Sommer Lassiter and her husband, Brandon, Kylie Henderson and Morgan Newman and three great-grandchildren, Keegan Elders, Rayne Lassiter and Jett Lassiter.

Other survivors include her loving friend and caretaker, Lesalie Stengell, along with many nieces and nephews, all with whom she has remained close with over the years.

The holidays were Billie's favorite time of year. It thrilled her to have a house full of family and friends to celebrate with. And then there was the eating part! She loved having a Christmas tree in every room and all the holiday lights gave her such pride and joy.

Billie Jo loved cooking, listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. She was a good friend, a proud grandma and a blessing to so many. She will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Klingner-Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel: 5234 W. State Hwy EE. Springfield, MO 65802. Graveside service will follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
