William "Bill" Edwin Sowards, 64, of Willard, MO passed away at Cox South Hospital on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born on Thursday, November 29, 1956 in Wichita Falls, TX to Helen Darlene Davisson and Thomas Edwin Sowards.

Bill was a long haul truck driver and U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed music (especially the Eagles), working as a roadie for his friends' bands, a good joke and spending time with friends and family. Bill could cook any meat with a fire or a fireplace! He loved riding his Harley, collecting Harley-Davidson t-shirts everywhere he went and living with and helping out his uncle/best friend Rocky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ronald Thomas Sowards and one granddaughter Sydney Dawn Sawyer.

Bill is survived by his daughter Kari Elder (husband Thomas) of High Point, NC, two brothers Jim Sowards of Cottondale, AL and Steve Sowards (wife Jennifer) of Republic, MO and his many friends and extended family by whom he will be forever missed.

A visitation will be held from 10-12PM on Tuesday, February, 16, 2021 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804.
