Betty Underhill, 79 passed away on August 19, 2022, peacefully at home. She was born on April 17, 1943, in Mayfield, Kentucky to Ovie S. Creighton and William C. Churchill who preceded her in death.

She married Clayton Underhill on June 11, 1961. She worked in the banking and financial industry. She enjoyed travel, reading, breaking the bank at the casino and spending time with her friends and family. Recently, she started meeting with her friends from high school for a monthly luncheon which she enjoyed immensely.

Betty is survived by her loving daughters Debra Verni of Saratoga Springs, New York and Kathy (Robert) Shanks of Cross Plains, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Zack Verni, Miranda Shanks (Lucas Rumbuc) and Ian Shanks; and numerous family and friends. She is preceded by her brother Charles Churchill.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 25, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel 5234 West State Highway EE (Division), Springfield with a graveside service to follow at 10:00AM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
