Obituary

Betty Hutley Perry Schreiner, 98, of Buhl, ID, died July 26, 2024, at her daughter's home. She was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on April 26, 1926, to Charles and Mabel Hutley. She met her future husband Charles Perry while he was serving with the Army Air Corpe during World War II. They were married in January 1945 in Brisbane, Australia. She came to the United States as a war bride in 1946. She married William Schreiner in 1983, and they were married for five years.

She worked as nurse's aide in the Aurora Community Hospital for several years. She received her Licensed Practical Nurses license in 1968. She retired from the Missouri State Chest Hospital in 1987 after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in her death by her parents, her husband William, son John. and daughter Mary. She is survived by: brother John Hutley, sister Pam (Brian) Greenhaugh, both of Brisbane, Australia; son Trevor (Debbie) Perry of Montgomery, AL.; daughter Pam (Johnny) Hernandez of Buhl, ID.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Brenda (Eugene) Michalak, Merryanne (Kevin) Tate, Allan (Aimee) Perry, April (Keith) Smith, Chris (Merryann) Perry, Jessica (Michael) Johnson, James (Tabi) Perry, Jerry (Amy) Perry, Jason (Avnee) Langford, Adam (Trish) Langford, Mark Langford, Eric (Scarlett) Box, and Kristie (Johnny) Daughtry. She leaves behind many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the MBA Community Ministries, in care of the Montgomery Baptist Association, P O Box 3319 Montgomery, AL 36109-3319.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 9, 2024 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5234 W. State Hwy EE Springfield, MO 65802
