Betty Rippee left this earth to be with her heavenly Father on January 10, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Laura (Hunter) Lewis; Husband Bob Rippee; Daughter LaLonna Lee Rippee and son Bobby Don Rippee.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.

Betty was born on June 18, 1931. She lived most of her life in Springfield, Missouri where she met her husband, Bob Rippee. Through their marriage they had two children, Bobby Don and LaLonna Lee. Betty loved the simple things in life: chatting with friends and family, reading her bible, eating sweets, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Graceway Baptist church.

Betty loved God deeply, but often struggled with her purpose in life because of lifelong health challenges. Shortly after moving into the Waterford at Ironside, she noticed there was not a church service available for the residents living there. She was instrumental in organizing a church service at Waterford that continues to this day. This brought her great joy, and she felt a welcomed sense of purpose for her life. The funeral service will be held at Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel at 1:00PM on Monday, January 16, 2023, with a graveside service immediately following.
