Betty J.
(Moore) Higbee-Clark
August 31, 1933 – July 26, 2025
Our dear mother, Betty J. (Moore) Higbee-Clark, sadly passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 91 years and 11 months. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior.
Betty was saved and baptized at the age of 12 years at High Street Baptist Church. She had the honor of being baptized with her mother and brother.
Betty was born in Springfield, MO, to Wheeler and Fayma Moore, where she grew up with her brother, Benny. She graduated from Bois D'Arc High School, where she was involved in sports and was homecoming queen.
Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Claude Higbee in 1952. They were married for 44 years until Claude passed away in 1996. To this union, they had three children, Mike Higbee and wife, Kathy of Republic, Debbie Cummins and husband, Alvin of Ozark, and Sandy Dowler and husband, Jim of Springfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rob Richter and wife, Suzanne, Shawn McCroskey and wife, Janna, Todd Richter and wife, Brandy, Melissa Reiber and husband, David, and Ashley Jones and husband Zach. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren.
In 1999, Betty was united in marriage to Richard Clark and they were married until Richard's passing in 2025.
Betty took great joy caring for her children and grandchildren. She was always there to offer support, wisdom and an abundance of love. She will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, Ozark, MO. with Pastor David Hicks officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to convey their deepest appreciation to North Park Village Senior Living, Ozark, MO, for their love and support, as well as St. Croix Hospice. Donations can be made to North Park Village, Ozark, or St. Croix Hospice, Nixa.
