Betty Jean Weaver, age 89, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 10, 1927, in Joplin, MO, to Ralph Bert and Eula Thelma McMullen.
She moved to Springfield as a child and completed her education at Springfield Senior High. She was a long-time member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God church. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and ggma. She will be remembered by her family for her mischievous grin, great sense of humor and love of dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Laverne Woody.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Jesse L. Weaver, daughters Phyllis Harter and Patricia Thomas of Springfield, Rebecca Weaver (Patric Stephens) of Overland Park, KS, granddaughters Candi Davis, Tricia Coon (Justin), and Ashley Thomas of Springfield, great-grandchildren Tristin, Talon, and Tatum
Coon and other family.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday December 16, 2016 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel with funeral service following at 2 pm.
