Betty June Layton, age 83, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Thursday June 4,2026 at Maples Health and Rehabilitation Center Springfield Missouri. She was born on March 27, 1943, in Springfield Missouri to Bill and Betty Hope.

Betty was preceded in death by her father Bill Hope, mother Betty Hope, husband David Layton, sister Billie Jean Brown, brother Butch Hope, son in law Curt Blades, son in law Byron Arnold, granddaughter Jennifer Sence and great granddaughter Charity Haynes. She was survived by her sister Karen Hope, daughters Shirley Blades, Sharon Guyll and husband Jack Guyll, Betty Johnson and Majik Johnson, adopted daughter Dolly Parton, grandchildren David Blades, Catherine Garofalo, Bambi Arnold, Tasha Fleege, Blazer Arnold, Breezy Arnold Evans, Robbie High and Randy High. Many great grandkids and great great grandkids that she loved very much. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ, Tops, Forester and The Rebekah Lodge. She loved family gatherings, and playing hand and foot with family. She will be greatly missed by many that hold her dear to their heart.
