Betty Jean Bartley, 83, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with family by her side.
Betty was born in Clinton, Mo on May, 20, 1932 to Carl and Bessie (Daugherty) Cooper.
She married her best friend, Donald Alanzo Bartley, in 1948. Betty was a waitress and a babysitter at a very young age, after babysitting she then became a housewife. She enjoyed being with her family as well as going out to eat with family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Donald, one daughter; Donna Fay Bartley, one son; Donald Gene Bartley, one sister; Evelyn Cooper, and several brother and sister in-laws.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Tricia Bartley, 2 granddaughters; Shyla Harmon and Dawn-el Bartley, one grandson; Billy Pickard, one great granddaughter, one brother; Kenneth Cooper, and one sister Wilma Fern Moody.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte form 5:00-7:00pm. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2:00pm at Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.
