Betty Louise Collins Fuller left for heaven on February 5th, 2017 at the Manor at Elfindale following a brief fight with recurring breast cancer. Betty was a breast cancer survivor of 27 years.
Betty Fuller was born July 3, 1931 in Lawrenceburg, MO, the daughter of Christine Clarkson and Champ Collins. She graduated Ash Grove High School in 1950. Shortly following graduation, she married her love and soulmate, H.J. Fuller, on July 14 of that same year. The couple celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary
in July, 2016 with a small gathering of family and friends.
A loving wife and mother, Betty made her family her priority. She was a talented seamstress and artistic needle worker her entire life, with a love of flower gardening. Very involved in church life, she and H.J. were long-time members of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Betty raised four children and seven grandchildren, plus other close extended family members. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband, H.J.; daughter Marla (Harold) Moody and grandson Philip; son Bruce K. Fuller, grandson Jonathan, granddaughters Rebecca (Heath) and Rachel; daughter Michele (David) Haney and grandson Adam (Cassie) Haney and granddaughter Anna (Ron) Aarts; son Brad (Julia) Fuller and grandson Benjamin. She is also survived by extended family: Cathy Fuller, Rick, Brittany, and Chase Bilyeu, Virginia Snyder and Roberta Cowart.
Sincere thanks to Julia, Brittany, the Manor at Elfindale, and Phoenix Hospice team for their incredible care of Nana. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Hwy EE Springfield, MO). Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00pm
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks or Phoenix Hospice Care in her honor.
