Bernal Dean Stafford, 92, of Willard, MO passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2017 with family by his side. He was born on Monday, February 9th, 1925 in Northview, MO to May E. Nash and Elmer J. Stafford.

Bernal served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He loved to fix clocks, go bargain hunting and enjoyed regular hunting and fishing as well as anything sweet. Bernal loved spending time with friends and family and had a great sense of humor.

Bernal was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Wanda, one grandson Brian Stafford and one great-grandson Kurtis Casteel.

He is survived by his five children Pat Whiteley (husband Raymond), Jessie Stafford (wife Ruby), Johnny Stafford of Springfield, MO, Violet Fries (husband Guy) of Battlefield, MO and Sussie Sneed (husband Gene) of Willard, MO, 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 from 11 am - 12 pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow. Military honors will be conducted at 2 pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
