Obituary

Benny Wayne Gueulette passed peacefully in his home in Springfield, MO, in the company of his wife and daughter on November 12, 2024, at the age of 79 years old.

Benny Wayne Gueulette was born in Neodesha, Kansas to Ethel Maude Douglas and Lawrence E Gueulette on March 9, 1945. He married Marjorie Ellen Waggoner on May 30th,1962, in Fredonia, Kansas. Benny began working various jobs at the age of nine. Benny started his own painting business in Avondale, Missouri until he moved to Springfield, MO, and began working at Reyco, where he worked until the plant closed. Ben then went to work at Holloway Machine Shop until he retired. Benny was also a very skilled mechanic as well as doing body work and painting vehicles.

Benny was an avid fisherman and hunter. Benny enjoyed hunting with family and friends, doing many creative projects with and for his wife, Margie, and other family and friends. Benny was a founding member of Flat Rock Archery Club. Benny and Margie also organized a family reunion every year in Independence, Kansas. This brought Benny great joy. He always enjoyed precious time with his family. Marjorie was the love of Benny's life. Benny adored her, always putting her first and ensuring she was well cared for. Together they completed each other. Their love and lives together were an example to future generations of family and friends.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Lawrence Gueulette, his sister Loretta Bargeman, parent- in-laws John and Ruby Waggoner, to whom he was considered a beloved son; and brothers-in-law Jim, Kenny, Don, Fred, and Billy Waggoner, Marvin Parrett, Bill Bargeman, Bill Goll, and Ben Weaver; sisters-in-law Mavis Hughes, and Jackie Cooley, Betty, Kay, Ann, and Karen Waggoner; grandparents Douglas, Gueulette, Waggoner, Gloyd and Reed; and beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Benny is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Gueulette of Springfield, MO; One son, Steven Wayne Gueulette (Charlene) of Missouri, one daughter, Debra Ellen Kliewer (Jeremy) of Tennessee; 3 Sisters, Linda Parrett of Kansas, Lillia Gueulette of Texas and Lyla Morris (John) of Kansas; 2 brothers-in-law, Guy Waggoner (Linda) of Missouri and Danny Cooley of OK; 4 sisters-in-law Pat Goll of MO, Sandy Weaver, Robin Dedrick (John) and Mary Waggoner of Kansas. 6 grandchildren; Jeremy Gueulette (Heather) of MO, Brandon Gueulette (Debbie) of IL, Miranda Kliewer of TN, Julian Brown (Chris) of TN, Rachel Roach (Chris) and Brenda Ward (Steve) of MO. 13 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Landon, Lincoln, Remington, Delilah and Raelynn Gueulette of IL, Lilly Sue and Bentley Kliewer of TN, Devon Roach, Peyton Phillips (Quinten) of MO, Steven Ward ll, Spencer Ward and Bayleigh Ward of MO. As well as numerous nephews, great nephews, great great nephews, nieces, great nieces, great great nieces, and cousins.

Benny's family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, aides and Chaplain Brian Nebel with Integrity Hospice in Springfield, MO as well as friends and family who have been supportive and loving through this tough period of time.
