Becky Elaine Edge was born July 13, 1960 in Springfield, MO to Kenneth and Louise Edge. She quietly and peacefully slipped into heaven on January 4, 2015, following an illness.
She was preceded in death by her maternal Grandparents, Ellis and Ollie Dulin, her paternal grandparents, Mac and Faun Edge, her father, and her brother Gary Edge. Her grandpa "Duwin" was her special buddy, and they talked on the phone almost every day until his passing. Also awaiting her in heaven was her Aunt "Wucille" (Lucille), who loved Becky dearly and gave her lots of attention.
Becky lived with her parents, with the exception of three years she resided at Kansas Neurological Institute during her adolescence. After the death of her father in 1985, she continued living with her mother until 2003, when she moved into an Arc of the Ozarks Group Home, where she resided until her death. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to all her caregivers at Arc. It was not an easy job, but you did it patiently and lovingly.
Becky attended Green Valley School, and Developmental Center of the Ozarks.
Becky was a surprise "caboose" baby. She was 18 years younger than her brother Gary, 15 years younger than her sister Delores Ann, and 5 years younger than her brother Jack. She had challenges throughout her life, and was also often challenging. But she was sweet natured and sensitive. Like her beloved Aunt Lucille, she loved music and singing, especially Golden Oldies and Christmas music. Her favorite was "O Come All Ye Faithful", which she would sing with great gusto at any season of the year.
