Barbara Sue Sunny was born in Springfield, MO on February 3, 1938, to Glen and Ninabell Wood. She went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2016.
Barbara married the love of her life John M. Sunny 44 years ago. Barbara was a long time class volunteer fro over 22 years. She retired from Ozark Technical College. She loved working with John and the students. She and John helped the students to obtain a fruitful life.
She was a loving devoted wife and mother. She was a kind caring friend. When you would see her she would have her arms open for hugs and say set in here where are you loved. She was always a lady; her zest for life will be missed. She was a member of the Ozark First Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children; Donnie and Barbara McHaffie, Cindy and Noel Friend, and Bethany and James Eaton, Sister; Daina Twehouse, Brother In-law Rev. Frank Sunny and wife Karen, Sister In-law Sharon Sunny, Sister In-law Joan (Richard Lucas) Sunny, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life John Sunny, Her parents, son; Jay N. McHaffie, brother in-law; Baylor Sunny, brother and sister in-law Donald and Kathy Sunny, and grandson Joseph Markus.
Her beauty, joy of life, kindness and smile will be missed. We love you MOM. May you rest in peace.
