Barbara L. (Gibson) Buff passed away on November 18, 2015 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side from a long battle with Parkinson''s. She was born June 23, 1934 in Lockwood, MO to Truman and Thelma (Wolf) Gibson who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Terry (Keith) Kollmeyer and a brother Don (Judy) Gibson. Several nephews, nieces and cousins in Missouri, Arkansas and California.
Barbara lived in Springfield most of her life, graduating form Central High School formerly Springfield Senior High in 1952.
Barbara''s working career began as a Car Hop at Taylor''s Drive-In in the 1950''s and ended as a Vice President with Commerce Bank of Springfield when she retired in 1996. She loved to travel to new destinations with friends and family to explore all the sights and wonders of the world as she could. In addition to her family, she is survived by three very special friends, Kay Burton, Roberta Sade and Jane Wantuck as well as numerous co-workers, neighbors and a very, very special group of family she spent the remainder of her life with, being her caregivers at Magnolia Square and Seasons Hospice.
A life celebration for Barbara will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE (Division) with a visitation to begin 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
