Barbara was born July 9, 1929, to Roy and Fern (Rinehart) Tibbetts in Kansas City, MO and departed to her heavenly home on January 11, 2025, at the age of 95.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janice Baker; grandson, Johnny Sullivan; granddaughter, Terra Riley; sister, Velma June Elam and brother, Roger Tibbetts.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Riley and wife, Cheryl of Republic, MO; daughter, LuAnn Umlauf and husband, Kenton of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Dawn Baker, Heather Baker-Nelson, Christopher Riley, Shana Riley, Ariel Gehris and husband, Ian, Tanner Revie and wife, ShyAnn and Logan Umlauf  and wife, Alisha, along with 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara retired from the American Red Cross after several years of service. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and volunteering for several Christian charities. She also loved to travel to new places. She loved Florida and would visit as often as she could.

Barbara's passion was playing the piano. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in music. She played the piano at her church every Sunday. She was so talented that many sought her out for weddings and special occasions.

Barbara was a devoted Christian and was a member of Briar Street Baptist Church. Her faith in God and Jesus was strong in every way. She had an open heart to everyone and will be truly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24,  from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Klingner-Cope Funeral home at Rivermonte, 4500 S Lone Pine Ave. Springfield, MO 65804. Private family Graveside services to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery 2244 E Pythian St. Springfield, MO. 65802
