Andras "Andy" Bartha, 81 passed away in Springfield on Feb 7, 2016. He was born Oct. 22, 1934 in Szombathely, Hungary to Gyula and Rozalia Bartha.

Andy came to America in the 50''s. He was a member of the CIA for 7 1/2 years and owned a trucking company in Canada for 20 years. He came back to the states in 1980 and purchased another trucking company. On Aug. 12, 1983 at Dale Street Methodist Church, he married Beverly Sue Monday- Haller and from 1985 to 2003, they were a trucking team from coast to coast. Andy has over 50 years on the road. In 2011, he formed AB Taxi Service, LLC and had several drivers and a fleet of 5 cars. He was a member of Daylight Masonic Lodge and Queen City Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers all in Hungary.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Sue Bartha; daughter, Tammy Marie Durham and husband Jason; 2 sisters and 2 brothers in Hungary; 1 brother in Australia and 1 niece and 1 nephew in England and several nieces and nephews in Hungary and Australia.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at 1 PM in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. St. Hwy EE (west Division), Springfield, MO with services to follow at 2 PM. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens following the service.
