Obituary

Amelia Faith Moffett left her earthly body in her daddy''s arms, and she opened her eyes in her Heavenly Father''s arms on February 4, 2017. Amelia was born June 27, 2016 to Russ and Mica Moffett in Springfield, Missouri. She was loved every single moment of her 7 months and 8 days of life. Amelia was born with Trisomy 18, a chromosomal anomaly, which caused her to have several medical challenges.

The name Amelia Faith means industrious, hard working with unquestioning belief and complete trust in God. We had no idea how far she would exceed our expectations in living up to her name. From her first breath to her last, she was small but mighty.

She loved cuddling with mommy, and sharing big smiles with daddy. She adored watching her bubby and sissy play. She spread joy with every person that came into contact with her, and her legacy of hope will carry on for years to come. She will never be forgotten.

Amelia is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Nelda J. Curry of Willard, Missouri.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her family: parents, Russell Lee and Mica Andrea (Curry) Moffett; sister, Avanlea Lauren and brother, Asher James, all who reside in Battlefield; maternal grandfather, Melvin Curry of Willard; paternal grandparents, Don and Tonia Moffett of Granby; and a host of many uncles, aunts, cousins and close family friends.

The family will receive friends at a Visitation on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, February 9, 2017 both at Klingner-Cope Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave. in Springfield, Missouri with Rev. Nick McClure officiating. A private burial will follow at Wesley Cemetery in Willard, Missouri.
