Alline Verla Nielsen went to be with the Lord February 20, 2018 at the age of 90 years old.  She was born July 19, 1927 to Everett W. and Fannie J. Estes in Brixey, Mo and raised in Vanzant, Mo.  She was one of six siblings.

Alline moved to Oregon her senior year in high school and worked in an ice cream store after school.  After graduating from high school in 1945 she moved back to Mt. Grove, Missouri and then later to Springfield to further her education.

Alline became engaged to the love of her life, Niels Frank Nielsen, on May 7, 1947.  They married the next year on April 9, 1948.  To this marriage there were three children born, Linda Ruth, Randall Wayne and Lynnette Nielene. As the years went on they were blessed with 9 grandchildren and thirteen and one half great grandchildren.  They shared 42 wonderful years before his passing in 1990.They lived in Ava, Mo, Eldon, Mo and her last 63 years was spent living in Springfield.

Alline enjoyed attending church with her family and friends at Macedonia.  She was active in church as the church hostess, she loved quilting, was part of the Sew & Sew Quilting Group and enjoyed doing ceramics with her friends at church.    Alline loved the outdoors and gardening.  Most of all she loved planting flowers and growing tomatoes.  She also loved cooking especially, making homemade rolls, jellies, chicken and noodles, all of which her family loved and made her happy.

She is survived by one brother, Eugene "Doc" Estes, of California, three children, Linda Buchanan of Springfield, MO, Randall Nielsen of Liberty, MO, Lynnette and her husband James Cannan of Chania, Crete Greece.  Nine grandchildren, Eric Buchanan and wife Arien, Tadd Buchanan and wife Anne, Kryssi Buchanan Kitinoja and husband Daniel, Rob Buchanan and wife Jen, Mackenzie, Christopher and Jayme Cannan, Breanna Bock-Nielsen, Kaleb Nielsen and 13 and one half great grandchildren.

Alline is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Niels Frank, siblings; Hubert, Lorene, Hurley, Lillian and one son in law, Kenneth Buchanan.

Alline was very strong in her faith of God and will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday February 25, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 4500 S. Lone Pine. Springfield, MO. A Funeral service has been scheduled for Monday February 26 ^th at 10 o'clock a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 3110 W Sunshine St. Springfield, MO. Burial wll follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sew & Sew Quilting Group at Macedonia Baptist Church.
