Albert Britain, 83 of Springfield, was born on January 11, 1930 in Strong City, KS to Ted and Neva Britain. He passed away on July 14, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He married Letha Brotherton on June 16, 1951 and worked for Conco Quarry until his retirement.

Albert is survived by his loving wife Letha; children, Debbie Branstine and husband Bruce, Chris Britain and wife Diana, Alvin Britain, Bruce Britain and wife Cecilian and Rick Britain; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Dreda Greene; niece, Linda Rozo; nephews, Ron and Rick Greene and a host of family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 9 till 10 am at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO with funeral service to follow at 10 am. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
